Position: RN CVOR – Operating Room – Webster, TX

Schedule/Shift: Full-Time | Days (No weekends) | On-Call as Needed

Job Summary

What You Will Do in the Role:

You will have an understanding of aseptic techniques and apply the knowledge in assuring maintenance of a sterile field and in assisting in a procedure or prepping a patient for surgery.
You will demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for the different kinds of procedure.
You will assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a “timeout” be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team.
You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

Qualifications required:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
Associated Degree of Nursing required
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required.
CNOR is preferred.
1-year of clinical CVOR experience is preferred; must be proficient in [Operating Room, OR, Surgery, Surgical Services, Cardiovascular] - in an acute care setting
Will consider a seasoned OR Nurse (1+ years of exp) and will cross train them to CVOR

Additional Information:

On Call Requirement – 1 weekend per month, 3-4 weekdays
Hours of Operation: 7 am – 5 pm
10-hour shifts; 4 days per week
12-hour shifts; 3 days per week
Must be 30-min commutable to the facility
3 Rooms: 2 for CV, 1 Hybrid Vascular
1:1 ADC & 2-4 Hearts per Day
Preforms over 400 pen hearts per year

Compensation:
Salary Range: $38.03/hr. - $57.05/hr. (based on years of experience)
On-Call Rate: $5/hr.
Relocation: Case by Case Basis
Sign-On Bonus: Case by Case Basis
