Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Cath Lab

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab

Full-Time – 12 Hour Shifts – Nights / Rotating Weekends / Holiday Call
 

Job Summary:
As a highly skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. ·       You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the Cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
·       You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
·       You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. Manages emergency cases.
·       You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.
·       You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations
·       You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient and needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
·       Current RN License
·       ASN Required, BSN Preferred
·       Two to three years of Cath Lab experience or 5 years in the Emergency Room / ICU experience preferred. Experience with Circulating, Monitoring and Sedation medication (exp mixing sedation drips); No mapping experience needed (performed by 3rd party company)
·       American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
·       American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)

Compensation:
Pay rate starts at $38.79/hr. up to $56.74/hr. (Max based on 20 yrs. of experience)

On-Call Rate: $4.50/Hour
